Spot The Dummy
Well done for all your efforts to get the two posts, Joseph And His Amazing Bag Of Beans and I Saw The Light, up in the top five of my most read posts for yesterday. You would have had to go some to beat the ones that are usually the top three (the titanic song, popular karaoke and movie quotes) as they get big numbers of hits every day. But I didn’t want to dishearten you when I could see you were all keen to push the posts higher up the tree. Remember, the technique is to leave a comment early and then more people read the post.
All of that effort on your part has helped us get closer to an important milestone. I’ll tell you now so you can keep an eye on it and spot when we reach it. At the moment I am approaching 96,000 hits on Music Man, so it won’t be long before I hit the 100,000 mark. (As in cricket I may retire at that point to give others a chance!) Not sure how I would know, but if you think you trigger the 100,000 leave a comment to tell me. I guess we will get there in the next three weeks.
Do you like the dummy? I am thinking of doing an Avenue Q song. I might ask Kath if I can do a solo. My only fear would be being taken over by the dummy, like that film ‘Dead Of Night‘. My mind is such that it wouldn’t take much effort from the dummy to completely take me over.
Perhaps we could do Avenue Q at Hessle Theatre Company. Making the puppets would be a breeze for Martin after his efforts with the chandelier for Titanic. I have even found him a site with puppet patterns and everything
else he would need to do the job. Even better we could design our own puppets based on people in the Company. Imagine the scene. Auditions. One set of puppets the audition committee and then various puppets coming in and doing their audition song. The bonus would be that being a bit wooden in the acting would not be a problem.

Cool blog man, but which one is the dummy.
