More Intrepid Adventures From You Know Who
I come out with some rubbish at times.
In a lull in rehearsals for the concerts earlier this week I discovered Eddie is going to
Canada. Within seconds, in my mind, I have him searching for the Northwest passage, following in the footsteps of Franklin (hopefully not having to eat his boots to survive) and living as an Inuit. Chewing blubber and hunting seals. Alternatively I put him in the pine forests of the Rockies, adopted by the Ojibwa, living as Grey Owl whilst making friends with the local beaver. He’s only there for a fortnight!
Then I turn my thoughts to Ron. He was down in Surrey last weekend watching a cricket competition. Before I know it I see him sitting in a striped deckchair in the dappled afternoon sunlight listening to the ‘pik pak pok’ of wood on leather, early summer insects buzzing around his head, a pint of local ale in his hand. Ragged shouts of ‘howzat’ as the umpire adjudicates. Village church clock chiming the hours in the background.
All of this in a brief break from singing our ‘Mama Mia’ selection. I blame this blog. It is sending me in strange directions.
But just to reassure everyone, the rehearsals for the summer concerts, ‘Broadway to Berkeley Square’, are coming along fine.

It seems you have a very low concentration span! And I thought I was bad!
